Within the framework of its recently launched project “Support for Pesticide Quality Control and Residue Monitoring in Armenia”, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia, organized a one-day seminar in Yerevan today.

The UN Office in Armenia donated books to the UN Depository Library, located at the Yerevan State University Library of Armenia (YSU) today, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the University and the 64th anniversary of the UN.

The project was initiated by local “Civil Society Institute” NGO with the objective to mobilize citizens for volunteer action and to raise the attention of the citizens of Yerevan towards environmental issues
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia marked today the World Food Day by awarding medals to five representatives of the Armenian food and agricultural sector for their great contribution in this field.
